Justin Forsett thriving in expanded role. The Ravens didn't expect much from the diminutive running back, but he's climbed to the top of the totem pole in Baltimore, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Steve Smith quits Twitter. Smith had been one of the more active Ravens on Twitter, posting 899 times, according to ESPN.

Ravens respect but don't fear Devin Hester. With the league's most prolific returner coming to town Sunday, Baltimore is ready, ESPN reports.

Cincinnati Bengals

Devon Still will make an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." The defensive tackle, who has gained national notoriety over the past several months while documenting his daughter's battle with cancer, will make his appearance Friday at 4 p.m. ET, according to Cincinnati.com.

Vontaze Burfict to appeal $25,000 fine. The Bengals' linebacker was assessed the punishment for twisting the ankles of a pair of Carolina Panthers in last weekend's game, according to ESPN.

Wallace Gilberry thankful for sight after eye injury. Gilberry had a cut opened above his eye by his helmet in Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers, ESPN reports.

Cleveland Browns

John Greco is settling in as the Browns' new starting center. With Alex Mack out for the season, Greco will assume an expanded role, as the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Donte Whitner coming up big. The Browns' free-agent acquisition at safety has looked like a good fit thus far, the team's official website reports.

Kyle Shanahan has Browns' offense humming. The team's new offensive coordinator has things rolling right along in his first season in town, according to the Times Recorder.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Cortez Allen benched by Steelers. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette wonders if the move could turn into a positive for the cornerback.

Bruce Arians expected to be retained by Steelers in 2012. Now Arizona's head coach, Arians' tenure in Pittsburgh ended in 2012, but he didn't see it coming, according to ESPN.

Maurkice Pouncey defends Ben Roethlisberger. After former Steeler Hines Ward blamed Roethlisberger for the team's recent struggles, Pouncey came to his quarterback's defense, as reported by ESPN.
