Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III was back on the practice field Saturday for the first time since the ankle injury suffered in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

While Griffin didn't participate in team drills and there is still no definitive timetable for his return, getting back on the practice field in any capacity is certainly a positive sign in his recovery.
With Kirk Cousins' struggles since taking over, Griffin should have a good opportunity to regain the starting job when he does eventually return to game action.
