Cowboys' Murray looking to fix ball security issues
Ball security problems have tainted an otherwise spectacular start to the season for DeMarco Murray.
The Cowboys' feature back has rushed for more yards than anyone in the NFL through three weeks, but he's also tied with Bobby Rainey of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the league lead in lost fumbles with three.
“I don’t think he’s carrying it differently. He’s carrying it probably in a very similar fashion, but he clearly needs to hold the ball better,” Cowboys coach Jason Garrett told The Dallas Morning News. “He’s gotten the ball a lot. He’s been a really, really important part of our success running the football and our success on offense up to this point.
"He understands that, and the responsibility that comes with that.”
Murray, who had only three career lost fumbles heading into the 2014 season, is confident that he'll solve the issue.
“I got to get it fixed and I will get it fixed,” he said.
