Robert Griffin III is still awaiting the full results of the MRI performed on his left ankle, but the Washington Redskins pivot boasted to reporters Monday that he avoided a fracture.

The initial results are consistent with Sunday's early diagnosis, which suggested Griffin would miss 4-5 weeks.

The quarterback was carted off the field and replaced by Kirk Cousins after dislocating his ankle while planting into the turf on the run.
