49ers place Will Tukuafu on injured reserve

The San Francisco 49ers announced Saturday that fullback Will Tukuafu has been placed on injured reserve.

Tukuafu suffered a concussion in the 49ers' 21-7 preseason victory over the San Diego Chargers on Aug. 24.

San Francisco also announced the release of 19 players, including safety C.J. Spillman and former Pro Bowl wide receiver Kassim Osgood.
