Rahim Moore pays surprise visit to man suffering from compartment syndrome

On Thursday night at around 9:40 p.m., the Denver Broncos received an email from the family of a man who had recently been diagnosed with compartment syndrome - the same injury that nearly cost Rahim Moore one of his legs last season.

According to the Denver Post, the man began experiencing severe leg pain after running in a 10K race, and later learned that he would require surgery.

At 9:42 p.m., Broncos executive director of media relations, Patrick Smyth, texted Moore, who said he wanted to visit the family at a nearby hospital immediately.

35 minutes later, Moore was at the man's bedside offering words of encouragement and briefing the family on the recovery process.

Moore could not be reached for comment Friday, as he was busy helping out at a Denver-area football clinic.
