The Washington Post put together a list of the top-10 worst moments with Shanahan at the helm of the Washington Redskins, which include these memorable moments:
The Monday Night Massacre
The Redksins were center stage on Monday Night Football for one of the worst losses in four years of Shanahan's tenure - a 59-28 rout by the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Redskins gave up 592 yards, a record for the Eagles, and gave up 45 points in the first half, a personal worst for the Redskins, and they gave up the most first quarter yards - 280 to be exact.
The Albert Haynesworth conditioning test(s)
In the lead up to the 2010 season, Shanahan and Haynesworth provided daily fodder for the media, as he trotted out the heavy-set defensive lineman for daily conditioning tests, excluding a player that had just signed a seven-year $100-million deal from training camp.
"Haynesworth Watch" lasted ten days, which should have been enough indication as to how he handles star players.
RGIII
Between benching the franchise quarterback, to the tumultuous relationship between his son and offensive coordinator, Kyle Shanahan, RG3 has been at the center of Shanahan's failings in Washington.
The Post points back to the Redskins playoff game against the Seahawks when Shanahan played a liming Griffin, leading to his injury, surgery and a sputtering 2013 campaign.
