The Minnesota Vikings will apparently be extremely shorthanded in the backfield Sunday vs. the Philadelphia Eagles.

And #Vikings RB Toby Gerhart also not expected to play, which means lots of Matt Asiata and even Joe Banyard.

Peterson (groin, foot) and Gerhart (hamstring) were both listed as questionable on the team's injury report Friday.
The Vikings promoted running back Joe Banyard from the practice squad Saturday, which was the first indication Peterson and/or Gerhart would not play.
Matt Asiata and Banfield should both see carries vs. the Eagles.
