New York Giants running back Najee Harris is expected to have a larger role in Sunday's Week 6 contest against the New Orleans Saints, sources told ESPN's Jordan Raanan.

Cam Skattebo, New York's go-to running back this season, will likely see his role reduced after a crucial fumble in the team's Week 5 tie against the Washington Commanders, Raanan added.

Skattebo fumbled with two minutes left in overtime with the Giants in field-goal range and trying to secure the win. Washington ultimately ran out the clock on the next possession in a crazy sequence.

Skattebo has fumbled in all but one game this year, but his errors have resulted in just one turnover. He's carried the ball 81 times this season for 294 yards and one touchdown and has played 210 snaps, 125 more than any other running back on the team.

Skattebo ranks 23rd in yards per carry (3.6) and 27th in EPA/rush among 31 running backs across the league with at least 50 carries, according to TruMedia.

Harris signed a one-year deal with the Giants in August. He's posted 27 carries for 97 yards this season and has played just 18% of the team's offensive snaps. The 28-year-old has averaged 3.9 yards per carry during his six-year career.
