Tennessee Titans head coach Robert Saleh told reporters Thursday after a joint practice with the Chicago Bears that wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson is being evaluated for a concussion.
Bears safety Xavier Woods hit Robinson as he ran a route across the middle of the field during team drills, which started a fight between the two teams, according to ESPN's Turron Davenport.
"Cheap," Saleh said of the hit by Woods. The veteran safety appeared in 11 games for Tennessee last season. The team released him in February, one month after Saleh took over as head coach. Woods then signed a contract with the Bears on Aug. 7.
Robinson left the field on his own power, but the Titans have not provided an update on the severity of his condition. He signed a four-year, $70-million contract ($38 million guaranteed) in free agency following a four-year run with the New York Giants.
The 25-year-old is projected to have a massive role on Tennessee's offense this season. Calvin Ridley, Elic Ayomanor, and first-round rookie Carnell Tate are the other leading wide receivers on the roster.
Saleh and the Titans will face the New York Jets on Sept. 13 in their season opener.
