The Seattle Seahawks and defensive tackle Leonard Williams have agreed to a three-year, $90-million extension, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The extension also includes $56 million in guaranteed money, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. He was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent after the 2026 campaign.
Seattle acquired Williams in a 2023 trade with the New York Giants for second- and fifth-round picks. The Giants later used that second-round selection on safety Tyler Nubin.
Williams earned second-team All-Pro honors last season while recording 62 tackles, 22 quarterback hits, and seven sacks. He also had a stellar 2024 campaign in which he posted 28 quarterback hits and 11 sacks.
The 32-year-old has established himself as one of the best interior defensive linemen in the league. Over the last two seasons, Williams' 113 pressures rank second among all defensive tackles, behind only Chris Jones, according to TruMedia. Williams played a crucial role on the Seahawks' defense last season, helping the team secure the Lombardi Trophy.
Williams joins Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Devon Witherspoon as key Seahawks players who've received massive multi-year extensions this offseason.
Seattle will open its season with a Super Bowl rematch against the New England Patriots on Sept. 9.
