The Seattle Seahawks are signing free-agent cornerback Trevon Diggs to a one-year deal, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Diggs worked out for the Seahawks earlier this week.

The 27-year-old played for the team's defensive coordinator, Aden Durde, when Durde was a defensive line coach with the Dallas Cowboys from 2021-23.

Diggs was waived by the Cowboys last December after he landed on injured reserve due to lingering concussion symptoms. He was claimed by the Green Bay Packers and played in two games before being released after the season.

Diggs has suited up in just 31 regular-season games over the last five seasons because of multiple injuries, including a torn ACL. He suffered that injury during the 2023 campaign, just months after signing a five-year, $97-million extension with Dallas.

The Maryland native has made two Pro Bowls during his career. He led the league with 11 interceptions in 2021 and earned first-team All-Pro honors that season.

Diggs has recorded 63 passes defended and 20 interceptions in 67 games since being selected in the second round of the 2020 draft.

Seattle still plans to sign free-agent cornerback Terrion Arnold, according to Schefter. However, Arnold is expected to be placed on the commissioner's exempt list, which would prohibit him from practicing or playing in games.
