Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy suffered a right hand injury during Sunday's 16-13 win over the New York Giants.
McCarthy's X-ray came back negative, head coach Kevin O'Connell said postgame, according to Ben Goessling of The Minnesota Star Tribune. He'll have further testing Monday, a source told Goessling.
McCarthy sustained the injury during a sack-fumble late in the second quarter. Trainers tended to the signal-caller on the sideline before he headed to the locker room, where he was ruled out shortly after.

Max Brosmer, an undrafted rookie who started in Week 13 due to McCarthy being sidelined with a concussion, took over in relief. He finished the day with 7 completions on 9 pass attempts for 52 yards.
McCarthy completed 9 of 14 passes for 108 yards with one interception versus New York. He added 20 yards on the ground, including a 12-yard rushing touchdown.
McCarthy, a 2024 first-round selection, has dealt with multiple injuries this season, including an ankle ailment that sidelined him for five contests.
