Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers is inactive for Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts due to a knee injury.

Bowers, who was listed as questionable, didn't practice Thursday and Friday after being a limited participant Wednesday. He's been playing through a PCL injury and a bone bruise that have impacted his performance, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Doctors have advised Bowers to rest, but he's been unwilling to do so since suffering the injury in the season opener, Schefter adds. Sunday will be the tight end's first absence of the year after battling through the injury in the last three games.

Head coach Pete Carroll told reporters Friday that he expected Bowers to suit up in Indianapolis. However, Bowers said his knee is "painful" and "sore."

"Just annoying (and) frustrating because I want to be back to full strength and going full speed, being able to separate from guys," Bowers said, according to ESPN's Ryan McFadden. "I feel like I can't really do that to the best of my abilities right now."

Michael Mayer, the Raiders' backup tight end, is also inactive versus the Colts with a concussion. Ian Thomas, Carter Runyon, and Albert Okwuegbunam are the team's remaining healthy tight ends.
