Report: Lock agrees to deal with Seahawks

Quarterback Drew Lock agreed to terms with the Seattle Seahawks, a source told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

The length and terms of the deal aren't known. The veteran will back up fellow newcomer Sam Darnold.

This will be Lock's second stint in Seattle. The 28-year-old was traded from the Denver Broncos to the Seahawks in 2022 in a blockbuster deal to acquire quarterback Russell Wilson.

Lock largely sat behind Geno Smith in his two years with the Seahawks. He signed a one-year deal with the New York Giants in 2024, again primarily acting as a backup to Daniel Jones.

After the Giants released Jones in November, Lock started five games, throwing for 1,071 yards and six touchdowns against five interceptions. New York finished 1-4 with Lock under center.
