Report: Patriots adding Diggs on 3-year, $69M deal
The New England Patriots are signing wide receiver Stefon Diggs to a three-year, $69-million deal with $26 million guaranteed, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Diggs played just eight games with the Houston Texans in 2024 before suffering a season-ending ACL tear. He hauled in 47 receptions for 496 yards and three scores in his lone campaign with the club.
Diggs is on track to complete injury rehab and suit up for Week 1, Schefter added.
The 31-year-old recorded six consecutive 1,000-yard seasons before his injury-shortened 2024, including a league-best 1,535 yards in 2020.
DeMario Douglas led the Patriots' wide receivers with 66 receptions for 621 yards and three scores last year. Kayshon Boutte and Kendrick Bourne were the team's second and third wideouts.
Diggs is the latest addition to the Patriots during a busy offseason. He joins head coach Mike Vrabel, defensive lineman Milton Williams, cornerback Carlton Davis, and pass-rusher Harold Landry as newcomers to the club.
Diggs also spent five seasons with the Minnesota Vikings and four with the Buffalo Bills.
