Rex Ryan tells players no sex before Patriots game, then clarifies statement
New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan told his players Wednesday he wants them well-rested for a key clash with the New England Patriots on Sunday and to abstain from sex this week.
"Don't do nothing for your wife," is the way wide receiver Josh Cribbs interpreted the message. "He was like...rest your legs, you go home, don't do nothing for your wife. Say baby, next week."
Defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson said, "most definitely" when asked if Rex's message to the team included no hanky panky.
Ryan clarified the statement later in the afternoon, stating he was talking about household chores, not sex.
