The Dallas Cowboys restructured quarterback Dak Prescott's contract to create $36.6 million in cap space, a source told ESPN's Todd Archer.
Dallas has freed up $56.6 million in cap space over two days after also reworking wide receiver CeeDee Lamb's deal Tuesday and opening up $20 million.
Prescott signed a four-year, $240 million extension in September. The Cowboys converted $45.75 million of Prescott's salary into a signing bonus and pushed money on his contract into future years, according to Spotrac.
Dallas reportedly had around $56 million in cap space before Wednesday's adjustment. Owner and general manager Jerry Jones said the team won't use free agency to fill voids on the roster.
A number of Cowboys players are set to hit free agency next week, including DeMarcus Lawrence, Brandin Cooks, Eric Kendricks, and Rico Dowdle.
