The New York Jets are expected to release wide receiver Davante Adams if they can't find a trade partner ahead of the new league year, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

New York acquired Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders in October for a conditional third-round pick. The move reunited Adams with his longtime Green Bay Packers teammate Aaron Rodgers, who joined the Jets ahead of the 2023 campaign.

Adams posted 854 yards and seven touchdowns on 67 receptions in 11 games with New York last season. Including his three appearances with the Raiders, Adams finished 2024 with 85 catches for 1,063 yards and eight touchdowns.

The 32-year-old could join Rodgers on a new team after the Jets announced in February that they'll release the veteran quarterback if they can't find a trade partner.

Adams has earned six Pro Bowl nods and three first-team All-Pro selections since being drafted 53rd overall in 2014. The Fresno State product is one of the most prolific active receivers, with 957 receptions, 11,844 yards, and 103 touchdowns in 164 career games.
