The Los Angeles Rams granted guard Jonah Jackson permission to seek a trade, sources told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Jackson played in only four games last season after signing a three-year, $51-million contract in free agency. He's due an $8.5-million salary guarantee March 12, Fowler adds.

Jackson was placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury he suffered two contests into the season. He was activated in November but was benched just one game after returning and only started the final game of the regular season when most of the Rams' backups suited up.

The 28-year-old started 57 contests and earned one Pro Bowl nomination over four years with the Detroit Lions, who selected him in the third round of the 2020 draft.
