Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey wrote a personal message for the cheerleader he hit with a kickoff during the team's season-finale loss to the Washington Commanders on Sunday.

Cowboys cheerleader Michelle Siemienowski shared a photo of the apology note she received from Aubrey on her Instagram Stories on Monday, saying she was "all okay" and had no hard feelings toward the kicker.

"Michelle, so sorry about hitting you on KO!" Aubrey wrote. "Hope you are well! Love watching y'all!"

The incident occurred in the second quarter of Sunday's game after Aubrey kicked the ball out of bounds, drilling Siemienowski in the back of the head. The rookie cheerleader quickly got back on her feet and could be seen laughing on the sideline.

Aubrey, a former professional soccer player, made history during the game, becoming just the fifth kicker in NFL history to make at least 40 field goals in a single season.
