Raiders name Scott Turner interim OC
The Las Vegas Raiders named Scott Turner their interim offensive coordinator, the team announced Tuesday.
Joe Philbin is their new interim offensive line coach and Las Vegas added Norv Turner as a senior adviser.
Scott Turner has been the Raiders' passing game coordinator since 2023. He was the offensive coordinator for the NFL's Washington franchise from 2020-22.
Head coach Antonio Pierce made sweeping changes to the Raiders' coaching staff Sunday, including firing offensive coordinator Luke Getsy, offensive line coach James Cregg, and quarterbacks coach Rich Scangarello. All three coaches were hired in 2024.
Norv Turner, Scott's father, helped the Dallas Cowboys win two Super Bowls as offensive coordinator from 1991-93. He hasn't held an NFL position since 2019, when he was a special assistant to Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera.
The Raiders sit last in the AFC West after losing five straight and are the No. 31 team in theScore's NFL Power Rankings. They'll look to bounce back after their bye week when they play the Miami Dolphins on Nov. 17.
