The New England Patriots ruled running back Rhamondre Stevenson out of Sunday's matchup against the Houston Texans.
The 26-year-old has a foot injury and didn't practice this week.
Head coach Jerod Mayo said Friday that Stevenson's injury isn't expected to sideline him long term, according to Phil Perry of NBCS Boston.
The 26-year-old split touches with Antonio Gibson in Week 5 after fumbling in each of his first four games. Stevenson has tallied 77 carries for 356 yards and three touchdowns since signing a four-year, $36-million contract extension this offseason.
Gibson, 26, is expected to shoulder the load with JaMycal Hasty on Sunday.
