The Los Angeles Rams traded wide receiver Ben Skowronek to the Houston Texans, the team announced Thursday.

L.A. was reportedly set to release Skowronek before agreeing to a deal with the Texans. The Rams also sent a 2026 seventh-round pick to Houston while receiving a 2026 sixth-round selection in return.

The 26-year-old Skowronek will likely compete for one of the final spots in the Texans' deep receiver group headlined by four-time Pro Bowler Stefon Diggs - acquired in an early April trade - and 2023 breakout star Nico Collins.

Skowronek joined the Rams as a seventh-round pick in 2021. The wideout's best campaign came in 2022 when he caught 39 passes for 376 yards while starting 11 games and appearing in three more.

However, he struggled to make an impact last season, finishing with just eight catches for 66 yards and one touchdown in 17 games.

Skowronek's exit leaves Tutu Atwell, Tyler Johnson, Demarcus Robinson, and sixth-round pick Jordan Whittington as the Rams' backups behind Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua.
