Dolphins' Hill: 'I would like to retire in Miami'

Wide receiver Tyreek Hill is hoping to finish his career with the Miami Dolphins.

"I would like to retire in Miami, but we all know how the NFL is, how jobs go, and people getting promotions over here, and, you know, we understand that," Hill said on the "Around the Bar" podcast. "I love the team that I play on, I love the guys in the locker room, I love the head coach, I love the GM, so that means sign me."

The 30-year-old's contract with the Dolphins runs through 2026. However, Hill's cap hits for the next three seasons are scheduled to be roughly $31.3 million, $34.2 million, and $56.3 million, per Over the Cap. Miami would need to rework his deal or sign him to an extension to lower his 2025 and 2026 cap numbers.

The Dolphins could save up to $22.9 million if they release him next offseason or $45 million if they let him go ahead of the 2026 campaign.

Hill led the league in receiving yards (1,799) and receiving touchdowns (13) last season after posting 1,710 yards and seven scores in 2022.

Hill said he believes his production is one piece of the puzzle for the Dolphins.

"It's amazing what we're building in Miami," Hill said. "Our quarterback is special. Tua Tagovailoa is special. Jaylen Waddle - special. Y'all already know Jalen Ramsey. He's special, so he's gonna be the leader of the defense. We got a real special team.

"(I'm) very proud, very honored to be one of the leaders on this team."

Hill has racked up 10,139 receiving yards and 76 touchdowns on 717 receptions across 124 career games between the Kansas City Chiefs and Dolphins. He also has 766 yards and seven scores on the ground.
