Nate Wiggins sustains injury after posting 4.28 40-yard dash
Former Clemson cornerback Nate Wiggins sustained a hip flexor injury during his 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine on Friday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Wiggins said he felt his groin "pop" as he was running, per Stacey Dales during the NFL Network broadcast. He won't participate in the remainder of the event's drills, according to Rapoport.
Despite the injury, Wiggins posted a 4.28-second 40-yard dash time - the fastest of any player at the combine thus far.
