Russell Wilson believes former Seattle Seahawks teammate Marshawn Lynch deserves a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Wilson made the case for Lynch to be inducted into the Hall of Fame during an appearance on the "I Am Athlete" podcast, saying he wouldn't be the player he is today had he not played with the All-Pro running back.

"To me, he should be a Hall of Fame football player, man," the Denver Broncos quarterback said. "Just what he meant to Seattle, what he meant to our team, what he meant to me, you know. I wouldn't be as great as I am without him, watching him, and observing him, and also vice versa. Just how hard he worked."

Wilson and Lynch spent five seasons together in Seattle, helping to lead the Seahawks to back-to-back Super Bowl appearances and a win in Super Bowl XLVIII.

Lynch, who last played during the 2019 season, made four of his five Pro Bowl appearances while with the Seahawks and also earned a first-team All-Pro selection in 2012. He sits fourth on the franchise's all-time rushing yards list with 6,381 yards and ranks second in rushing touchdowns with 58.

Lynch will be eligible for Hall of Fame consideration beginning in 2025.
