The Houston Texans are reportedly close to locking up one of their defensive leaders.
Texans LB Brian Cushing is going to sign a 6 year extension today.

Cushing's extension is for six years, thru 2019, and worth $55.643 million, with $21 million guaranteed.

Cushing has spent his entire four-year career with the Texans. He is entering the final year of his rookie contract.
The 26-year old tore his ACL during a game last October and missed the rest of the season.
He was suspended four games in 2010 for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances.
