San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey and wide receiver Deebo Samuel sustained oblique and shoulder injuries, respectively, in the team's 19-17 loss against the Cleveland Browns.

Both stars were ruled out of the game with their ailments.

McCaffrey had 11 carries for 43 yards and three receptions for nine yards and a touchdown before being forced out.

The playmaker was listed as questionable to return, came back briefly, and then jogged to the locker room.

McCaffrey, 27, led the NFL in rushing with 510 yards and seven touchdowns entering Week 6. He also had 168 receiving yards and a touchdown on 20 receptions.

Samuel had two carries for 11 yards and failed to haul in his lone target before his exit.

The wideout's X-rays were negative, a source told Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio. He'll reportedly undergo an MRI as well.

Samuel has 302 receiving yards, 84 rushing yards, and one touchdown each through the air and on the ground this season.

The 27-year-old Samuel has never played a full season entering this campaign. His 16 of 17 games played in 2021 represented a career high.
