Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David said his team knew what play the Chicago Bears were running on Shaquil Barrett's game-sealing pick-six in the fourth quarter.

"Big play," David said, according to Greg Auman of Fox Sports. "I mean, they called a screen, same formation. Everybody knew what was coming."

He added: "Playmakers make plays. (Barrett's) number was called, and he made the play."

Trailing by three points, the Bears had the ball deep in their territory with 2:24 remaining in the game. Chicago called a screen pass that Barrett intercepted and returned for a touchdown to all but ice the contest.

The Buccaneers' defense swarmed the Bears' offense all day, sacking quarterback Justin Fields six times. Chicago averaged just 4.6 yards per play with only 14 first downs.

Fields struggled throughout the game, finishing with 16 completions on 29 attempts for 211 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. The 24-year-old ran for just three yards, his fewest in any of his starts since entering the league as a first-round pick in 2021.

Chicago's offense is off to a slow start in 2023, scoring just four touchdowns through two games. The Bears have now lost 12 straight games dating back to last season.
