Dolphins' Hill: Pats fans 'some of the worst' in NFL
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill had some harsh words for New England Patriots fans after his team's win on Sunday night.
"Those fans are some of the worst fans in the NFL," Hill said, according to Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN. "And I'm going to stand on that; they are real nasty. Some of the things they were saying, I wouldn't say in church. So yeah, it felt great to wave goodbye to the fans, and I'll do it again. Bye."
This isn't the first time Hill has had trouble with Patriots fans. In 2018, when Hill was with the Kansas City Chiefs, a man was charged with disorderly conduct after throwing a beer at Hill after he scored a touchdown at Gillette Stadium.
The seven-time Pro Bowler did score a touchdown, but it was a quiet night for his standards as he only hauled in five catches for 40 yards.
The Dolphins jumped out to an early lead, but New England fought back in the second half to make the game interesting. The Patriots were down 24-17 with a chance to tie the game in the final minutes, but Miami shut New England's offense down to secure the victory.
"It feels good, man," Hill said. "It always feels good to beat probably one of the greatest coaches of all time.
"To come in here in a tough environment, to win a game like this on a Sunday night, it feels good - especially the way this team played, the way this team battled through adversity."
The Dolphins will take on the Denver Broncos in Week 3.
