Dolphins' Ramsey vows to return sooner than expected
Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey is confident he'll return from his knee injury sooner than expected.
"Tell me what the timeline is, and I'll beat it by a month," Ramsey told head coach Mike McDaniel, according to Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.
McDaniel said Ramsey's left meniscus surgery Friday went "as well as it could have."
The 28-year-old Ramsey is reportedly expected to be out until December. McDaniel didn't provide a specific recovery timeline but said the cornerback will come back "100% Jalen Ramsey," per Louis-Jacques.
Miami signed cornerback Eli Apple to a one-year deal Saturday.
The Dolphins acquired Ramsey from the Los Angeles Rams in March for a third-round pick and tight end Hunter Long. The three-time first-team All-Pro has 19 interceptions and 92 passes defended in 108 career games.
