Report: Devin White requests trade from Buccaneers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Devin White has requested a trade, sources told Jenna Laine of ESPN.
The Buccaneers do not want to trade him, sources told Adam Schefter of ESPN.
White is set to make $11.7 million on the fifth-year option next season, according to Over The Cap.
Selected fifth overall by the Buccaneers in the 2019 NFL Draft, White has been a pillar of their defense throughout his four-year pro career.
The 25-year-old is the only NFL player to record 120 tackles and 15 quarterback hits in a single season over the last three years.
White shined for Tampa Bay in Super Bowl LV, helping the Buccaneers capture their first championship since 2002 with a game-high 12 combined tackles against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The All-Pro has started all 62 games he's played for Tampa Bay, totaling 483 tackles and 20.5 sacks.
