Chargers sign Eric Kendricks to reported 2-year, $13.25M deal
The Los Angeles Chargers agreed to terms with linebacker Eric Kendricks, he announced on his Instagram account Monday.
The contract is for two years and worth $13.25 million, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Kendricks was released by the Minnesota Vikings on March 6 after spending his entire eight-year career with the team.
The former first-team All-Pro started every game for the Vikings last season, racking up 137 tackles and one sack. Kendricks ranks third on Minnesota's all-time tackles list with 919.
Los Angeles has three linebackers hitting the open market in Troy Reeder, Kyle Van Noy, and Drue Tranquill. The Chargers ranked 27th in rushing yards allowed per game last season.
The 31-year-old Kendricks was born in Fresno, California, and went to school at UCLA.
