Jefferson passes Moss for most receiving yards in first 3 seasons
Jefferson eclipsed Moss with this highlight-reel grab in a win over the New England Patriots on Thanksgiving night.
Jefferson was selected 22nd overall by the Vikings in the 2020 NFL Draft and has been nearly unstoppable since.
The LSU product put up 1,400 yards in 16 games as a rookie, setting the modern era (since 1970) record before it was topped the following year by former college teammate Ja'Marr Chase. As a rookie, Jefferson made the Pro Bowl, was a second-team All-Pro, and placed second in Offensive Rookie of the Year voting behind Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert.
Jefferson followed up his record-setting rookie year with 1,616 yards and 10 touchdowns on 108 catches last season. He again was named to the Pro Bowl and was a second-team All-Pro.
He had 1,093 yards this season entering Thursday's game against the Patriots, where he added 139 yards on nine receptions.
Jefferson will have six full games to extend his record, including a matchup against a Detroit Lions team that ranks at or near the bottom of most defensive metrics.
