Joe Burrow found the Super Bowl LVI atmosphere to be much more reserved than a typical playoff game.
During a recent appearance on the "Colin Cowherd Podcast," the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback admitted he was caught off guard by the environment at SoFi Stadium.
"It felt like a dinner party, and we were the entertainment," Burrow said. "Because, I mean, you come off a road game in Kansas City, a road game in Tennessee, and then your first home win in the playoffs in 30-something years. And then you go to the Super Bowl, and it's more corporate.
"It just took a second to get used to. It didn't feel like a playoff football game. It was a weird feeling at the beginning, for sure."
Super Bowl LVI tickets reached record price levels on the secondary market leading up to the game, at one point averaging $8,869.
The Bengals, who made their first Super Bowl appearance since 1989, were defeated 23-20 by the hometown Los Angeles Rams.
