Amazon Prime Video is targeting Pat McAfee for an alternative Thursday Night Football telecast, sources told Michael McCarthy of Front Office Sports.

McAfee's show would follow in the footsteps of Peyton and Eli Manning's "ManningCast" for Monday Night Football, which was a major success for ESPN during its debut season in 2021.

The former Indianapolis Colts punter said in February he'd engaged in talks with Amazon, but his busy schedule could be a roadblock.

McAfee hosts his own weekday show on YouTube and SiriusXM, and he also works as a wrestler and color commentator for WWE.

Amazon will take over Thursday Night Football from the 2022 season and is reportedly paying the NFL $1 billion annually through the 2033 campaign for broadcast rights.

The company landed Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit as its broadcast duo in March.
