NFL Playoff Picture is a weekly look at the teams jockeying to secure their shot to make it to Super Bowl LVI.

AFC

Seed Team Division Record
1 Patriots East 8-4
2 Titans South 8-4
3 Ravens North 8-4
4 Chiefs West 8-4
5 Bills East 7-4
6 Chargers West 7-5
7 Bengals North 7-5

The Baltimore Ravens began Week 13 atop the AFC, but a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers dropped them to the third seed. Baltimore fell after unsuccessfully attempting a game-winning two-point conversion in the final seconds of the fourth quarter rather than forcing overtime with an extra point.

A Ravens loss means the New England Patriots will take the No. 1 seed into Monday Night Football versus the Buffalo Bills. A loss to Buffalo would drop New England to a wild card spot and propel the Bills back to the top of the AFC East, where they've spent most of the season.

In the hunt

Seed Team Division Record
8 Steelers North 6-5-1
9 Colts South 7-6
10 Raiders West 6-6
11 Browns North 6-6
12 Broncos West 6-6
13 Dolphins East 6-7

The Indianapolis Colts have won six of their last eight, but still have work to do because of their 1-4 start, which put them in an early season hole. The Miami Dolphins have the fourth-worst record in the AFC, but they've clawed back into the race on the strength of five straight wins.

NFC

Seed Team Division Record
1 Cardinals West 10-2
2 Packers North 9-3
3 Buccaneers South 9-3
4 Cowboys East 8-4
5 Rams West 8-4
6 Washington East 6-6
7 49ers West 6-6

The Arizona Cardinals won again in Week 13 to retain the No. 1 seed in the NFC, one game ahead of the Green Bay Packers. The Cardinals are two games up on the Rams, who travel to Arizona in Week 14.

The Washington Football Team and San Francisco 49ers occupy wild card spots at 6-6 despite poor starts to their respective seasons. Washington has won four in a row to get into playoff position and will face Dallas twice over the next three weeks to determine the direction of the NFC East.

In the hunt

Seed Team Division Record
8 Eagles East 6-7
9 Vikings North 5-7
10 Panthers South 5-7
11 Falcons South 5-7
12 Saints South 5-7

The Minnesota Vikings incurred a major blow to their playoff chances when they lost to the previously 0-10-1 Detroit Lions. They face the Steelers in Week 14 in a pivotal game for both sides. The New Orleans Saints are teetering after losing five straight, and desperately need to get back on track against the New York Jets in one week.

Projected NFL draft order

Pick Team
1 Lions
2 Texans
3 Jaguars
4 Jets
5 Jets (via Seahawks)
6 Giants (via Bears)
7 Giants
8 Falcons
9 Panthers
10 Vikings
