Report: Texans' Taylor could miss 4 weeks with hamstring injury
Taylor was reportedly diagnosed with a Grade 2 strain a day after he prematurely exited Houston's loss to the Cleveland Browns. Rookie quarterback Davis Mills relieved him and is expected to assume his spot in the starting lineup. Texans head coach David Culley already ruled out a possible Deshaun Watson return for Week 3 when the Texans face the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football.
Taylor had the Texans' offense functioning above expectations prior to the injury. He completed 70.5% of his pass attempts over two starts and threw for 416 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions.
The 32-year-old signed a one-year contract with Houston in free agency after spending the last two seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers, where he made 10 appearances, including one start.
