Cincinnati Bengals rookie wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase announced himself to the NFL in spectacular fashion during Week 1, putting a preseason of struggles firmly behind him.

Chase caught five passes for 101 yards, including a 50-yard touchdown, during Cincinnati's season-opening 27-24 overtime win against the Minnesota Vikings.

Drops and reported issues separating plagued the first-round pick during the lead-up to the regular season. But Chase is now focused on continuing to prove his doubters wrong after one of the best rookie debuts.

"Well, I'm trying to break every record that I can," Chase said Wednesday on "Good Morning Football," according to NFL.com's Kevin Patra. "I'm pretty sure I can't break every record, but every record that's meant to be broken. So I’mma make my way and somehow break a record here, break as many as I can, as many as possible."

Chase sat out of the 2020 college football season after a 1,780-yard, 20-touchdown campaign with LSU the year before. The Bengals jumped at the chance to use the No. 5 pick to reunite the wideout with signal-caller Joe Burrow, who was Chase's quarterback with the Tigers.

With Burrow seemingly healthy after suffering a season-ending knee injury last year, Chase says the best is yet to come from one of the NFL's most exciting young duos.

"I like to tell them, 'Enjoy the show.' That's all I can tell them," he said, addressing doubters again. "A lot of news coming. I've been hearing this since I was young, you know what I'm saying?

"But I'm not worried about it. This is my job right here, and my job is to catch the football and make plays."

The Bengals will take on the Chicago Bears in Week 2.
