This marks the third time this year that a copy of this particular Brady card has set a new record for the most expensive football card. Two other copies of the card with slightly lower grades sold for $1.32 million in March and $2.25 million in April.
Friday's sale also moves Brady back onto the list of the 10 most expensive sports trading cards ever sold.
