The NFL will get another chance to assess one of the top quarterback prospects in this year's draft.

Former North Dakota State quarterback Trey Lance has scheduled a second pro day on April 19, sources told ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

The 20-year-old performed during a workout for 30 teams on March 12, completing 58 of his 66 pass attempts.

Lance only logged one season as a starter with the Bisons. He threw for 2,786 yards and 28 touchdowns against zero interceptions in 2019, guiding his team to an FCS national title. He added another 1,100 yards and 14 scores on the ground.

North Dakota State's 2020 campaign was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, Lance was only able to play in one exhibition game last year before declaring for the draft.

With the Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets widely expected to take Trevor Lawrence and Zach Wilson with the No. 1 and No. 2 picks, respectively, the draft's biggest mystery is arguably the order in which the next three quarterbacks will be selected.

The San Francisco 49ers recently made a blockbuster trade for the No. 3 pick, presumably to take one of Lance, Justin Fields, or Mac Jones.

While many believe Fields would be San Francisco's preferred option, other teams reportedly think the NFC West club is eyeing Jones.

Fields is also is set to hold a second pro day on April 14.

49ers general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan are reportedly expected to attend the ex-Ohio State passer's workout after missing his first to watch Jones go through drills.

In theScore's latest mock draft, the Denver Broncos select Lance at No. 4 after acquiring the pick from the Atlanta Falcons.
