The Miami Dolphins and All-Pro kicker Jason Sanders have agreed to a five-year contract extension worth $22 million, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The deal keeps Sanders in Miami through the 2026 campaign, as he was already under contract through the 2021 season. Only three kickers - Justin Tucker, Graham Gano, and Ka'imi Fairbairn - earn a higher average annual salary than the $4.4 million that Sanders has landed from the Dolphins.

Sanders converted 36 of his 39 field-goal tries in 2020, went 8-for-9 on attempts 50 yards or longer, and was a perfect 36-for-36 on extra points.

Miami selected the 25-year-old in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
