Antonio Brown to miss NFC title game with knee injury
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown won't play in the NFC Championship Game versus the Green Bay Packers due to a knee injury.
"Antonio will be missed but we have capable people filling in," head coach Bruce Arians told reporters Friday, according to the Boston Herald's Karen Guregian.
Brown injured his knee in the divisional round. He posted just one reception for 10 yards in a win over the New Orleans Saints, and the veteran was reportedly labeled day-to-day after a postgame MRI didn't show any major damage.
The Buccaneers had been hoping Brown would be able to suit up, even if he didn't practice before Sunday's game.
Brown posted 45 receptions for 483 yards and four touchdowns during the regular season after making his Buccaneers debut in Week 9. The seven-time Pro Bowler caught three passes for 59 yards and a touchdown over the first two rounds of the 2021 postseason.
