The Los Angeles Rams are focused on former Atlanta Falcons interim head coach Raheem Morris to fill their vacancy at defensive coordinator, sources told NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

The Rams lost their previous coordinator, Brandon Staley, to the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers hired Staley as their head coach after his unit ranked first in the NFL in yards allowed during his only campaign with the Rams.

Morris entered the 2020 season as the Falcons' defensive coordinator. He was promoted to head coach on a temporary basis after Atlanta fired Dan Quinn. Morris guided the Falcons to a 4-7 mark after they began the season 0-5 under Quinn.

Morris hadn't served as a defensive coordinator prior to 2020, though he did collect experience as a head coach with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2009-11.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are among the other teams that have reportedly shown interest in Morris as a defensive coordinator candidate.
