The New York Giants signed defensive coordinator and assistant head coach Patrick Graham to a contract extension, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
Graham had been garnering interest for head coaching vacancies. The New York Jets reportedly requested an interview with him.
In his first season, the Giants' total defense improved from 25th to 12th. New York finished ninth in points against after finishing 30th the year prior.
Graham has spent just two seasons as a defensive coordinator. He led the Miami Dolphins' defense in 2019.
