Brady eclipses Favre for most regular-season starts in NFL history

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady made his 299th regular-season start Sunday, surpassing Brett Favre for the most in NFL history.

The 43-year-old Brady has started all 16 games for the fourth consecutive year. He last missed a start in 2016 while serving a suspension for Deflategate. Since becoming a starter in 2001, Brady has only missed games in 2008 (torn ACL) and 2016.

Brady opened his 299th start in style, throwing a 41-yard touchdown to Chris Godwin on the opening possession of the Buccaneers' matchup with the Atlanta Falcons.

Brady also holds the NFL record for most playoff starts with 41.
