Report: Daniel Jones returning vs. Ravens
New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones will return after a one-game absence and start Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Jones missed New York's Week 15 loss to the Cleveland Browns while nursing hamstring and ankle injuries. He was a limited participant in practice all week.
The second-year passer has been battling a hamstring ailment since a win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Nov. 29. He missed the following game and returned for Week 14 versus the Arizona Cardinals, though Jones didn't appear fully healthy during the contest.
Colt McCoy started both games the 23-year-old sat out.
New York is tied for second in the NFC East at 5-9, behind the Washington Football Team. Joe Judge's squad needs to win its final two games to earn a realistic chance at taking the division.
If the Giants lose to Baltimore on Sunday and Washington defeats the Carolina Panthers, New York would be eliminated from postseason contention.
