The San Francisco 49ers will play their Week 13 matchup against the Buffalo Bills and their Week 14 game against the Washington Football Team in the Arizona Cardinals' State Farm Stadium, the team announced Monday.

Amended COVID-19 restrictions in Santa Clara County - where the 49ers reside - ban all contact sports and require individuals to quarantine for 14 days if traveling into the region from 150 miles away.

"The Cardinals organization, State Farm Stadium, and league officials have been supportive and accommodating as we work through the many logistical issues involved in relocating NFL games," the 49ers said in a statement. "Information regarding the 49ers' future practice arrangements will be shared at the appropriate time."

Head coach Kyle Shanahan said Sunday that his team was blindsided by the new coronavirus regulations put in place by county officials and called the decision "extremely disappointing."

San Francisco has one other home game - Week 17 against the Seattle Seahawks - remaining this season.

The NFL left open the possibility of the Cardinals and 49ers sharing a stadium by not scheduling home games for the NFC West teams on the same day.

San Francisco sits at the bottom of the division at 5-6, while the Cardinals are in third at 6-5. The two teams will face off for a second time in Week 16.
