The Indianapolis Colts placed running back Jonathan Taylor on the COVID-19 list, rendering him unable to play Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

The Colts also ruled out center Ryan Kelly for the contest due to a neck injury.

Taylor didn't test positive for COVID-19 but came into close contact with his girlfriend, who tested positive following an out-of-town trip, a source told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Taylor leads the Colts in rushing with 518 yards and four touchdowns, though he's averaged a modest 3.8 yards per carry. The rookie has shared playing time with Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins in recent weeks, but received a team-high 22 carries in a Week 11 victory over the Green Bay Packers.

Indianapolis promoted center Joey Hunt and defensive end Cassius Marsh from the practice squad to temporarily replace Taylor and Kelly on the active roster.
